We're having a party! A pickle party!

Join GroGive on Sunday, Oct 13, 2024, from 2pm-5pm, at Charm City Meadworks for a one-of-a-kind party and fundraiser.

Sample numerous homemade pickles made by local amateur chefs, and pair your pickles with Meadworks' wonderful selection of still and sparkling meads. Then vote for your favorite pickles and stick around to find out who is crowned pickler supreme!
Pickling categories are:
Best Fridge Pickle (cucumber)
Best Fermented Pickle (cucumber)
Best Not-a-cucumber Pickle
Most Original Pickle Dish (Use your imagination!)

All entries will be considered for Judge's Choice, chosen by a panel of distinguished pickle aficianados.

Pickle Maker contest entry tickets are on sale now and are $15 per category, or $50 for all four. All pickle makers will get a goodie bag for participating, plus prizes for the winner of all four categories and judge's choice.
Pickle Eater tickets are $20 and go on sale on Monday, August 26th, 2024. They include unlimited samples, while supplies last. Children under the age of 8 are free.

All contest entry and pickle eater ticket proceeds will help GroGive fulfill its mission of making people more food secure by learning how to home food garden.

Then enter our pickle lovers pickle eating contest!

This will be a timed contest. Whoever eats their allotment of pickles first wins! Contest pickles will be store bought and include chips, spears, slices, halves, and wholes, in dill, kosher, sweet, and spicy varieties. We'll have prizes for first, second, and third places!

Pickle Eating Contest entries are $25 per person and go on sale on Monday, September 9th, 2024.
